About the event
Hannah Presnell, UNC-Charlotte graduate of 2023, will be discussing her History Honors Thesis, "The Unruly Convicts: Black Women and the Convict Leasing System in Georgia, 1868-1908." Hannah's thesis was awarded the Battista Undergraduate History Award in 2022 and will be published in UC Berkeley's Undergraduate History Publication, Clio's Scroll.
