Cost: Tours are $5 per person, and free for children under 8.
Interactive tours of our 1850s homestead campus are offered on Saturday afternoons. We are often able to schedule private tours for individuals or groups at other times. Please contact us at programs@pioneerlife.org to discuss.
READING LIBRARY AND GIFT SHOP
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 1:00-4:00 PM.
Our (non-lending) community reading library contains titles that pertain to the history, culture, and traditions of the Toe River Valley and Southern Appalachia. Guests are welcome to sit and read, study, and discuss. There are comfortable chairs and internet access. Copies of a limited number of book pages may be made for a small fee.
Our gift shop features unique keepsakes and souvenirs, as well as a small selection of work handmade by our amazingly talented workshop instructors. At this time we do not offer the option to shop our gift shop online. Come enjoy our lovely space in person!
We are closed during the month of January.
